This plate was inspired by an early summer motorcycle ride we took from the Willamette Valley to central Oregon. The Willamette Pass or highway 58 is very lush and green in the early summer/late spring. The greeness of the ride was occassionally broken up by the bright pink of wild rhododendrons.
I used adventurine green glass for the main body of the plate. Adventurine green glass has a glittery look to it. The glitter reminded me of the rain that was falling lightly as we traveled along the highway.
